May 28, 2010, Newsletter Issue #152: Zyban (Wellbutrin)

Tip of the Week

Zyban was originally a drug used to treat depression. It is sold under the name Wellbutrin. Many patients taking Wellbutrin discovered that their desire to smoke disappeared and they were able to quit.

As a result, the drug was tested to see if it truly helped people quit smoking. They found that it did aid in quitting, so they decided to market the drug under the name Zyban. Zyban is a prescription drug, so it is necessary to talk to your physician about it.
