May 18, 2007, Newsletter Issue #90: Harvesting Tobacco

Tip of the Week

Depending on the type of tobacco, it can be harvested in different ways. For example, some tobacco may need to be cut as an entire plant then speared onto a stick which is called a tobacco stick.

No matter the method used to harvest tobacco, the job is still tedious and lucrative to this day. Because the numbers of smokers rise instead of decrease each year, the job doesn't seem to have an end in sight.
