How often should I encourage someone to quit?

Note to Nonsmokers

Being a non smoker, it's easy to feel the right to request a loved one to quit the bad habit. The problem is, many smokers become resentful when asked to quit smoking and it is mainly because they are afraid to quit.

When faced with trying to get a loved one to quit smoking, here are a couple of things you can do to get your point across without defeating your purpose:

- Ask your loved one to start taking walks with you right after dinner. This will help get them in a habit of doing something else instead of smoking after eating.

- Offer support websites to your loved ones through email. This will allow them to take you up on the offer and check the websites out without them feeling pressure.
