The likelihood of developing gum disease, osteoporosis, and asthma attacks is also higher in smokers. And those are just some of the diseases associated with smoking. So, mortality rates from cancer of the mouth, throat, larynx, pharynx, and esophagus are approximately equal in users of: - Cigarettes - Cigars - Pipes Diabetes and SmokingTobacco has many bad health effects, particularly for people with diabetes. No matter how long you’ve smoked, your health will improve when you quit.
